I know how much work can go into preparing for a photo session! I hope this eases some worry and stress! Upon booking inquiry, you will also receive an additional client guide to help prepare for your shoot.
How long do sessions last?
The time of actual shooting will vary with the package you choose! With that being said, I can work as fast or slow as we need in order to accommodate everyone. Every session with me includes my time, talent, location scouting, communication, and professional editing.
Where do you shoot?
I live in the Silverdale area on the Kitsap Peninsula, but shoot all over the PNW! I even offer an 'Adventure Session' where we shoot on location in the mountains or woods of the Olympic National Park or Forest! A travel fee outside of my immediate area will be assessed to cover my costs. I am happy to discuss my travel fee so if you're out of the area, please contact me! The PNW is hands down the most beautiful place in the world. If you have a special place in mind, let me know (these are always more meaningful). I also have a bunch of incredible places I can suggest for you. When thinking of locations, keep the time of day in mind. The best time of day to photograph is earlier in the morning, or the last few hours of the day to get that breathtaking golden light we all love so much. Mid-day light is very harsh and casts harsh shadows.
Where can I see my photos?
I will post a sneak peak on my Facebook page and my instagram account within a couple days of our session. You will then receive your custom edited, high-resolution gallery delivered over a secure link sent directly to your email within 2 weeks of our session together.
Can I print my photos?
Yes! Please do! I truly believe that photographs should be printed and hung on the walls, reminding us daily of what's important in our lives (the people in it!) In fact, every package with me comes with a print discount code that can be used directly from the download link store! My clients receive the personal print copyright for all photos delivered which allows for printing and sharing online. I do advise clients to not print at photos centers such as Walmart, Costco, Target, etc, as I cannot guarantee the quality of my work when a professional print company isn't used.
Can I edit my photos?
No, you may not. As a professional, one of the things I love about photography is using editing as a tool to bring a photo back to life. I work very hard to make sure your eyes are bright, light perfect, shadows balanced, and color spot-on. Please do not add additional edits or IG filters when sharing your images. Andi Ray Photography holds full copyright.
What should we wear?
I have loads of clothing tips, included in the Client Guide you will receive from me!
How would you describe your style?
To me, memories are the most powerful kind of images. I prefer artistic images that tell a story or capture an emotion in a simple way. I prefer images with dramatic light or unique qualities even if they aren't technically perfect. Life isn't perfectly posed, and therefor your session won't be perfectly posed. But I guarantee we will have fun together and you will love every image in your gallery!
I need something different than what I see here!

"You don't make a photograph with just a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved." -Ansel Adams
